We drove to the beach at Buxton to see the lighthouse. We were trying to find the area called Cape Lookout but you had to drive the beach using 4-wheel drive and we weren't sure our old car would make it! We settled here where we had a good view of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and found a cool sea turtle nesting site. We watched some kite boarders and discovered that we can't take the kids anywhere near the water without swimsuits on.
