Painting

Today we had a low key day here at the Hersman Home Place, waking up at (don't hate me) 10:30, if you don't count me sending Bella off to school with Dad at 7:45. Ben decided he wanted to paint shapes outside so we put on our messiest duds and headed out with the pooch. Ben was so excited to make circles, triangles, squares, and my personal favorite, "techrangles". That's gotta be my favorite word thus far in toddler-ese. He was insistent that Lucy could not possibly paint, as she doesn't have hands. Sorry pup, I tried. We spent some time playing with friends who dropped by, eating probably our favorite lunch of pirate pasta, and assembling a wide array of puzzles. He definitely goes about it much differently than his sister did at that age. (Force always works best, doesn't it?)
